Acadia Gear Shed started with a simple frustration: too many visitors were missing out on the park because they didn't have the right gear — or couldn't find equipment that worked for their whole family, including members with mobility challenges.

We're a small team based in Bar Harbor, and we've spent years exploring every carriage road, summit, and shoreline Acadia has to offer. We know what gear makes the difference between a good trip and a great one.

Today we rent everything from camping essentials to adaptive hiking carts — so whether you're pitching a tent at Blackwoods, fishing on Eagle Lake, or rolling the carriage roads with a family member who uses a wheelchair, we've got you covered.
